Goat Milk Versus Cow Milk

Although the dairy lobbyists (1 of the strongest lobbies in the US) would like you to believe cow’s milk is healthy for you, there is a lot of controversy about this food; here’s why.

Cow’s milk is one of the most common allergens. This is partly because cow’s milk contains casein, a long protein that humans have difficulty digesting. It also causes a lot of mucus production in the lungs, intestines and sinuses. Many are sensitive to lactose because heating milk through pasteurization destroys lactase the enzyme that helps us digest lactose.

Instead, consider goat milk the closest thing to human milk. It provides a similar ratio of essential fatty acids, proteins, minerals and vitamins of breast milk, which is an ideal alternative for infants. Goat milk does not contain casein, nor the quantity of antibiotics and hormones that cows are often exposed to. This was the very food that allowed Bernard Jensen, a nutrition pioneer, to heal himself of prostate cancer. If you’re able to find a farmer that sells unpasteurized and non-homogenized goat milk you will have the best high-protein, nutrient-dense, probiotic loaded food that will allow you to heal.

In fact, I had a patient today that just started drinking goat’s milk and she loves it!
