Fresh Air Reduces Sick Building Syndrome

Healthy tip of the week:
Get outside and take a walk!! There is a condition called “Sick Building Syndrome” and being outside taking a brisk walk daily will counteract the effects of being indoors. Unfortunately, while indoors we not only breathe in re-circulated air, but also the out-gassing from carpets, drapes, pressed wood furniture, furniture fabrics, plastic shower liners, flame retardants, new paint, new flooring, new clothing, dry-cleaned items, and cleaning supply use. Walking will force us to take in deeper breaths, which will help us release these indoor toxins. Opening windows will also circulate some fresh air, but in offices this is typically not an option.
Get outside, take that walk and enjoy a healthier you!!
