Flaxseed oil is a cold-pressed, omega-3 oil that has a nutty flavor. It’s often taken as a supplement or used as a healthy salad dressing. When storing flax oil, it can be kept in a closed container in the refrigerator or freezer for up to 3 months. Once it’s opened, it should be consumed within 3 weeks.
The Gerson Institute and Johanna Budwig are both known for using flax oil in helping fight cancer. Budwig used a recipe of 3 tablespoons of flaxseed oil mixed with 4 ounces of nonfat cottage cheese for 3 months with her cancer patients. There are many benefits with consuming flax oil, but this is one of my favorites.
