Taking Fat-Soluble Vitamins

Vitamins play such a vital part of supporting our bodies to remain healthy; however there are some important rules to follow.

Vitamins are divided into water-soluble and fat-soluble. Water-soluble are easily flushed out when taken in excess. Fat-soluble vitamins are retained in the fat cells for a longer period of time. The dosage of fat-soluble vitamins is important because they accumulate and you do not want to overdose. These include Vitamin A, D, E and K. Short-term use of high dose fat-soluble vitamins are common at the onset of an illness (click here to read examples), but are reduced or discontinued after 2-3 days. Water-soluble vitamins like B-vitamins and Vitamin C are best taken in lower dosages, more frequently. The goal is to utilize as much as possible and reap the greatest rewards without taking too much that will cause elimination through the kidneys.

If you follow this tip you will not only save money, but also save your health.
